I am here for you... Motherhood feels lonely but you are not alone.

Dear Mama,

I see you... when you're doing all the ordinary things day in and day our for your kids and you wonder if you're doing enough... You are.

I hear you... when you cry in frustration because just as you figured how to deal with one behavior, a whole new type of behaviour shows up and you don't know what to do, you just know you don't want to mess up your kid.

I am here for you... Motherhood feels lonely but you are not alone.

I am here for you in the mess and I'm cheering you on through your triumphs.

We can do this whole Mom thing together... ❤️

Love,
Xochitl

My top 4 parenting hacks / advice

Hack 1
Choose - Being intentional about what kind of parent you want to be for your kids is important. Choose what kind of parent you want to be.

Hack 2
Research - Parenthood unfortunately doesn’t come with a manual. However, there are tons of positive parenting resources available to us. Begin to research positive parenting books, podcasts, courses. These are a few words I have personally researched: -gentle parenting -attachment parenting -positive parenting

Hack 3
Implement - Doing the research is important but implementing it is the fun part. I remember I didn’t know how to deal when one of my kids threw a tantrum. Their big emotions were hard for me to deal with. That’s when I implemented the power of empathizing and touch. “I can see you are really upset right now. It’s no fun when we have to leave the park. On the car ride home we can talk about what your favorite part of the park was today. Can I give you a hug? “

Hack 4
Give yourself grace - No parent has it all together. We all loose our cool, we all carry baggage from our own childhood. Whenever I mess up with my kids I always strive to not be so hard on myself cause intentional parenting isn’t easy! When I mess up I make it right by taking responsibility for my actions (like yelling) and apologizing to my kids for my behavior. That way they know mommy is a human being who messes up too. I let it go and do my best again the next day.
