We've got you covered with a list of egg-citing ideas that will have your kids hopping with joy. So, gather up your chicks, put on your bunny ears, and let's explore these egg-straordinary Easter activities for kids of all ages!

DIY Easter Egg Decorating Station

Take your egg decorating game to the next level by setting up a DIY station for your kids. Provide various types of materials, such as stickers, glitter, paint, and even temporary tattoos. Then, allow your children to let their creativity run wild as they design their Easter masterpiece. For an added touch, encourage them to personalize their eggs by adding initials or a unique design that represents their personality.

Easter Bunny Hop Sack Race

Add a festive twist to the classic sack race with this adorable Easter Bunny Hop! All you need are some old pillowcases decorated with bunny ears and cotton ball tails. Line up your little bunnies, and let the race begin. The first one to the finish line, hopping entirely within their sack, wins an Easter treat!

Edible Easter Necklace

Offer a sweet alternative to the egg hunt by having your kids create their own edible Easter necklace. Use a needle and thread to string together cereal, marshmallows, jellybeans, and other delicious Easter treats your kids love. This activity even helps improve fine motor skills while providing a tasty payoff. Who says you can't wear your Easter candy and eat it too?

Resurrection Eggs Storytelling

Take this opportunity to teach your young ones about the true meaning behind Easter. First, create a set of 12 plastic eggs, each containing a small object symbolizing a part of the Easter story. Then, assign each egg a number and hide them around your home. After the hunt, gather the kids and open the eggs in numerical order while discussing each object's meaning. This interactive approach to telling the Easter story will help them absorb the message better and have them asking questions and learning more.

STEM Challenge

Easter is a great time to get creative and enjoy some fun activities with your family. Creating an Easter science experiment is a perfect activity to do with the kids. Here's how:

  1. Begin by setting up a large plastic container, like a bin or dishpan, in an area where it won't be easily spilled.
  2. Fill the bin with water, enough to cover the eggs that sink.
  3. Now it's time to test out different objects! Gather about 12 different objects to try out. These could be things like fuzzy balls, bolts, and change from the picky bank. Put like objects together inside different eggs.
  4. For an added challenge, have the kids write down their guesses as to whether an object will cause the Easter egg to sink or if it will float.
  5. Once your chart is ready, it's time to add items to the eggs! Have your kids observe which items made the eggs sink or float and then check off their predictions on the chart.
  6. When all of the objects have been tested, ask them to make a conclusion about what items sink and float.

Have fun testing out different objects while learning all about sinking and floating.

Easter is a beautiful time to create magical memories with your children while celebrating an essential holiday tradition. These unique activities will provide your little bunnies a fun and interactive way to engage with the spirit of Easter.
