You are doing a great job!

You are doing a great job!

Every day, just by showing up providing your family with what they need:

You, just as you are.

The demands of parenting and raising a family can certainly feel relentless, but I have learned they also are endlessly rewarding.

If you feel alone or in need of some encouragement today, let me remind you again:

YOU ARE DOING A GREAT JOB!

The journey of parenthood is not meant to be traveled alone and I find it to be a great joy and privilege to join you along the way and cheer you on!

My top 4 parenting hacks / advice

Hack 1
Give yourself grace: There will always be something more you could be doing. Give yourself grace to let the laundry go another day or to embrace a messy bedroom during seasons that feel full. There is freedom that comes from leaning into what you have margin for and what you do not.

Hack 2
Use timers: When I am feeling most unmotivated to take care of a household task I set a time limit that I am going to work. I am often surprised at what I can accomplish in just five or ten intentional minutes of work.

Hack 3
Plan outfits ahead: If you have a morning where you need to leave the house promptly, have everyone in your family (including yourself) pick out what they are going to wear and have it laying out ready to go for the next day.

Hack 4
Embrace choices: kids thrive on being as independent as possible. Give them opportunities to make choices and build confidence by consistently offering choices between two good options. Example: "Do you want strawberry or blueberry yogurt today?"

Staying consistent with boundaries and expectations, so important but also can be so draining day in and day out.
